For Linux users:
Here's the pre-compiled binary, only tested on Linux Mint and Ubuntu:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/mtsg8zd6spa6dle/doom64ex?dl=0
Put the extracted ROM file (not zip) somewhere easily reachable and run the binary from inside the folder where you store it with the command:
./doom64ex -wadgen <file_location>
This will create the two files doom64.wad and doomsnd.sf2 and put them into the right location.
Afterwards you can just run the binary again and it should work natively.
Or, if you already did this at an earlier point in time, put the doom64.wad and doomsnd.sf2 into
/home/<user>/.local/share/doom64ex/
and then just run the binary.

Hai
So I recently posted that I was looking for a good control set to play DOOM 64 with, given how the N64 controller sucks for FPS. However, I ran into another problem: My controller's joystick is broken and it is extremely unfair to play the game without being able to move at full speed or with random turns that lead me right into enemy fire.
Naturally, I turned to DOOM 64 EX. Fortunately, there is a Mac version of the port. Unfortunately, to run it I need use a program that comes with EX called WadGen, which uses a DOOM 64 Rom to produce a .wad file and a .sf2 file to be able to run the port, and for some reason, the Mac version of WadGen doesn't work with DOOM 64 Roms I found online (don't worry, I do own the original game physically). Every time I open WadGen and input one of the Rom files, it crashes.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a work around or some way to get WadGen working? I really want to play this game, it looks awesome.
